SUMMARY:“Underground Łódź” – Photography Exhibition by Paweł Hikisz to Mark the Birthday of the City of Łódź
DESCRIPTION:Factories built of red brick and workers’ housing estates are the hallmark of our city. Another “brick city” lies underground – over 250 kilometres of brick-built collectors of various sizes and shapes. These are true works of engineering art from the early 20th century. Their craftsmanship and precision are striking. The chambers where the main municipal collectors meet are particularly fascinating in terms of construction. Their vast volume and arched vaults evoke the underground spaces of medieval strongholds. To mark the birthday of the City of Łódź, on 24 July at 6.00 p.m., an opening of works by Dr Paweł Hikisz will take place at the university Wozownia 1/5 Gallery. The event will be hosted by photographer Karina Lisiecka. The exhibition will run until 12 September 2026.

DESCRIPTION:The ACM 6th International Conference on Information Technology for Social Good (GoodIT 2026) will be held from 2 to 4 September 2026, at the University of Pisa, Italy. The event brings together researchers, educators and practitioners interested in how digital technologies can truly support society, address the challenges of the modern world and contribute to the achievement of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
