Aleksander Szymański

Vice-President of the National Notary Council

A lawyer, graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Lodz, a notary in the jurisdiction of the Notary Chamber in Lodz, President of the Council of the Notary Chamber in Lodz, graduate from the School of Human Rights of the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights based in Warsaw, correspondent of the Media Freedom Observatory programme of the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights as well as the Human Rights House Foundation based in Oslo (Norway) and Article 19 based in London (UK), Member of Amnesty International, Respondent of the World Bank in the Doing Business 2015 Measuring Business Regulations programme, VIP Alumnus of the University of Lodz. Together with Professor Jacek Moll, a founder of the Academy 44 Foundation based in Lodz, since 2015 a co-organiser of the Lodz Competition "Children's Rights - Human Rights".

In the Notary Public Chamber in Lodz, he was the head of training and examiner of the examination commission for the notarial exam at the Minister of Justice, currently he is the second term President of the Council of the Notary Public Chamber in Lodz.

He specializes in the area of private international law, European conflict of law, the Act on the Acquisition of Real Estate by Foreigners, the Hague Convention abolishing the requirement of legalization of foreign official documents drawn up in the Hague on 5 October 1961, UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities adopted by the United Nations General Assembly on 13 December 2006.
