Aneta Wilmańska

Deputy Director of the ORLEN S.A. Representative Office in Brussels

A graduate of the Faculty of Economics and Sociology, University of Lodz (International Economic and Political Relations (2000)). She completed Postgraduate European Studies at the University of Lodz (2001), Postgraduate Management Studies at the Faculty of Management, University of Warsaw (2012) and Executive MBA at Kozminski University (2020)

A scholarship holder of Socrates-Erasmus (2000) and German Marshall Fund (2011) programmes. Awarded the Golden Cross of Merit for Strengthening European Integration in 2014 and the Badge of Honour of the Polish Bank Association in 2012. For more than 12 years she has worked in government administration in Poland. Over the years 2011-2013, the Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Environment responsible for the development of investment financing system in the environment and water management sectors, at the same time Chairwoman of the Supervisory Board of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (2012-2014). Previously, from 2008, Deputy President of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development responsible for the area of research and analysis of the SME sector and support for development of business environment institutions, including seed capital funds and technology and industrial parks.

Over the years 2001-2008 she worked in the Ministry of Economy on national development strategies and coordination of reforms in Poland. She was a pioneer of the cohesion policy in Poland – she programmed, managed and implemented activities within several operational programmes in Poland. After leaving work related to administration, from 2014 to 2016, she was an advisor on public policies in several EU countries and worked for the European Investment Bank.

In 2016-2022, she represented PGNiG S.A. in Brussels promoting the interests of the Capital Group. After the merger with PKN Orlen S.A. became Deputy Director of the ORLEN S.A. Representative Office. in Brussels; works in the International Oil&Gas Producers Association; is involved in the development of Polish lobbying in Brussels.
