As a volleyball player, she initially played in Lodz clubs, then in Chemik Police and Augusto Kalisz. She was also a player of Italian, Russian and Turkish clubs. From 2007 to 2010 she played for KS Organika Budowlani Łódź, after which she ended her sports career winning the 8th Polish Cup in her career. Winning the European Championship gold medal in 2003 by the so-called “Złotka” [The golden girls] was the greatest sporting achievement. She is a multiple medal winner of the Polish Volleyball Championship, in the Polish national team she played a total of 244 matches over the years 1989-2006.

She graduated from the Faculty of Economics and Sociology at the University of Lodz (Economics). She was a sports commentator, working for Eurosport, TVP and Polsat. In 2007, she became an employee of the Sports Department at the City Hall of Lodz.

In 2010 elections, she was elected a councillor of the Lodz regional council from the list of the Civic Platform. On 15 February 2011, she became the coach of Organika Budowlane Lodz volleyball players. In the parliamentary elections in 2011, she was elected to the Sejm of the 7th term from the Civic Platform (PO) list. In 2015 elections, she was re-elected to the Sejm of the 8th term from the Civic Platform list. Since 2015, she has additionally performed the function of: Vice-president of the Lodz Volleyball Federation and Vice-President of the Lodz Sports Council.

Since 2012, she has been a happy mother. Daughter Barbara, husband Robert.
