Jacek Podgórski is a graduate of the Faculty of Economics and Sociology and of postgraduate studies at the University of Warsaw in the field of management. He was a holder of a securities broker license (currently inactive) and he completed numerous training courses in finance, tax law and management in Poland and abroad.
Jacek Podgórski is a manager with 25 years of experience in working at high management levels in financial institutions and manufacturing companies.
He gained his professional experience, among others as President of the Management Board, CEO of Anwil SA (2014 - 2018), Finance Director, Member of the Management Board of Basell Orlen Polyolefins (2007-2014) and as Finance Director, Member of the Management Board of Orlen Asfalt sp. z o.o. (2006-2007). From 1997 to 2003, he was associated with the Bank Pekao SA Group, as, inter alia, Deputy Director of Corporate Banking Department, Member of the Management Board and Financial Director at Pekao Development and Pekao Leasing sp. From 1994 to 1997 he worked for Petrobank in Lodz, currently PKO Bank Polski, where, among other things, he supervised the bank's capital investments on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. As part of his professional duties, he supervised the restructuring processes of capital groups and internal organisational transformation processes. He managed the acquisition and optimisation of external financing of companies, liquidity risk, credit and currency risk. He was responsible for the bank's syndicated loans portfolio and financing companies from the large enterprise sector.
