dr Maciej Jankowski

Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of National Defence (2014-2015)

Graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration and the Faculty of Philosophy and History of the University of Lodz. From 1985 to 1993, he was an assistant and then an assistant professor at the Faculty of Law and Administration at the University of Lodz. In 1991, he was awarded the degree of Doctor of Laws. In the same year, he completed his legal advisor's apprenticeship and was qualified as a legal advisor. In 1992-1993, he served as an advisor to the Council of Ministers. From 1996 to 2004, he was a vice president and later a president of the board of the Polskapresse Publishing Group. In December 2007, he was appointed undersecretary of state in the Ministry of Infrastructure. In November 2011, he became Undersecretary of State in the newly established Ministry of Transport, Construction and Maritime Economy. He served as a Deputy Minister until November 2013. He left his post after the creation of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development. In January 2014, he was appointed Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Defence. He held this position until December 2015.
