Szlachetna Paczka od pracowników UŁ już u potrzebujących

On Saturday evening, volunteers involved in the nationwide Noble Gift campaign delivered gifts from the authorities of the University of Lodz and the university's administrative staff to Agata, a resident of Lodz and her three teenage children. We would like to thank all the donors!

This year, we have decided to support Agata's family, who live in terrible conditions in a one-room apartment without a bathroom. Agata and her partner are raising three wonderful children who are extremely talented and intelligent. They achieve very good results at school and are winners of numerous competitions. Two boys play football very well, it is their great passion. They would like to join a professional club. Their sister, in turn, is a very good student.

As part of the Noble Gift campaign, the family received, among other things: a washing machine, mattresses, bedclothes, a fold-out armchair, a laptop, as well as shoes, clothes, food and chemical products which were purchased by the University of Lodz employees. Typical Christmas gifts were also there.

We transported all the gifts on Saturday to the Noble Gift point at Przedszkole Sióstr Honoratek at Lokatorska 16, which provides services to about 50 families in need in Górna that registered for the campaign this year. From there, very nice volunteers delivered the gifts to the family in need on the same day in the evening. Thanks to this, Agata and her children's Christmas will be more beautiful this year.

This year’s collection of articles as part of the Noble Gift campaign was joined by the members of the University of Lodz Rector's Board, as well as employees of: the Communications and PR Centre, International Relations Office, International Hub, Science Centre, Social Affairs Centre for Students and Doctoral Students and IT Centre. We were also supported by the Arete computer company. We would like to thank you all very much!

Individual faculties and other units of our university also independently participate in the Noble Gift campaign.
