Accreditation of COBIS is given for five years. The team of experts validates whether the school follows the ethos and values of COBIS in five criteria:

  • Safeguarding and Safer recruitment,
  • Student Welfare,
  • Facilities,
  • Governance,
  • Ethos and Values.

That is to ensure that the school places a significant emphasis on student and staff safety, including child protection and the safe hiring of employees who are adequately qualified and experienced. Moreover, that all students are housed in a secure and encouraging atmosphere and all students have access to a safe and supportive learning environment. Furthermore, it ensures that the school is outward-looking, encourages global awareness and has a clear British educational culture.

Many thanks to the management, parents, teachers, staff and students of the British International School of the University of Lodz for their assistance in keeping the school's distinguished accreditation.
