BIOGRAM

Full Professor. Head of the Department of European Economic Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Lodz.


She graduated from law studies at the University of Lodz. Winner of the nationwide "Luminarz" competition for the best master's thesis in European law (1st prize). She obtained her doctorate in legal sciences defending her doctoral dissertation titled "Combating Unfair Competition in Community and German Law on the Example of Misleading Advertising and Comparative Advertising". For the monograph "Black List of Unfair Commercial Practices" - an achievement that was the basis for awarding the post-doctoral degree - she received the Minister of Economy award in the 13th edition of the Polish Patent Office competition for the best scientific work on intellectual property and the Rector of UŁ individual first-degree award.
Graduate of the School of German and European Law organized at UŁ in cooperation with the University of Wilhelm in Münster/Germany/, postgraduate studies in competition law and consumer protection at the Jagiellonian University, comparative law course at the International Faculty of Comparative Law in Strasbourg/France/ and competition law course at the European Law Academy (ERA) in Trier/Germany/.
She gave guest lectures, among others, at the University of Regensburg, Georg-August-Universität in Göttingen, Humboldt University in Berlin, and Westphalian University of Wilhelm in Münster/Germany/, at City University in Hong Kong, University of Naples Federico II/Italy/, and the European Law Academy (ERA) in Trier/Germany/.
Supervisor of 118 master's theses, including 33 awarded in nationwide competitions and at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Lodz.

ZAINTERESOWANIA

The author and scientific editor of approximately 150 publications in Polish, German, and English, including in the fields of consumer law, unfair competition law, and new technology law.

OSIĄGNIECIA

Selected Achievements:
* Expert in the Consumer Policy Advisory Group established by the European Commission.
* Member of the Scientific Advisory Committee at the Financial Ombudsman.
* Project manager of the research project titled "Consumer protection and artificial intelligence. Between law and ethics", funded by the National Science Centre (project number: 2018/31/B/HS5/01169). Previous projects include: "Unfair commercial practices between entrepreneurs. In search of a paradigm of protection against unfair competition in EU law and national law" (project number: 2013/11/B/HS5/03633) and "Blacklist of unfair commercial practices and the limits of combating unfair competition law in the European Union - comparative law analysis" (project number: 2011/01/B/HS5/00509).
* Member of the editorial board of the "European Judicial Review" (EPS) and "Internet Antitrust and Regulatory Quarterly" (iKAR).
* Member of the Program Council of the "New Technologies Law" magazine.
* Coordinator of the International Network of Doctoral Studies in Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of UŁ - a network associating the Faculty of Law and Administration of UŁ, the Faculty of Law of Vilnius University/Lithuania, the Faculty of Law of Paris Nanterre University/France, and the Faculty of Law of Goethe University Frankfurt/Germany.
* Coordinator of the TechLawClinics project co-financed by Erasmus+ (2019-2022) at the Faculty of Law and Administration.
* Chair of the subject commission for doctoral defenses (international, European, constitutional, Roman, history) at the Faculty of Law and Administration of UŁ.
* Reviewer in doctoral and habilitation procedures in Poland and abroad.
* Member of the Scientific Council of the Doctoral School of Legal Sciences at the University of Siena/Italy.
* Tutor at the Faculty of Law and Administration of UŁ as part of the "Teaching Masters - implementation of the tutoring model" project.
* UŁ representative in the Virtual Chair of Ethics and Law.
* Member of the Working Group on Artificial Intelligence (GRAI) at the Prime Minister's Chancellery.
* Member of the Advisory Board at the President of the Office of Competition and Consumer Protection during the term of Adam Jasser.
* Ministry of Economy award in the XIII edition of the Patent Office of the Republic of Poland competition for the best scientific work on intellectual property (2015).
* Awarded the Rector of UŁ prizes for scientific and educational activities.
