Picnic in the heart of green Łódź
This year's event will be held around the Biedermann’s Palace at Franciszkańska 1/5. The park surrounding the building, with its century-old trees, will create a natural fairytale setting for the celebrations.
The artistic and educational exhibition "Let's Go to the Parks – They Are Ours" as well as activities related to the #BigLittleSteps initiative, showcasing the University of Lodz's best environmental practices will constitute an additional backdrop for the event.
Learning, fun and shared experiences
The picnic programme will feature numerous activities for children and adults – from workshops and experiments, through quizzes and puzzles, to games and entertainment activities. All proposals share a common goal: to demonstrate that learning can be engaging, accessible and close to everyday experience.
The University of Lodz units, student science clubs and organisations operating within the university have been invited to co-create the event. This will allow participants to explore diverse fields of science and research areas – through play, conversation and hands-on experience.
Finale in the rhythm of nature
The picnic will conclude with a concert entitled "Songs of Trees" performed by the Taitu Tree band, which will introduce participants to a reflective, musical finale.

The event will be open to the public and free of charge.
In the event of inclement weather, the picnic will be moved indoors.
