Faculty inaugurations, examination sessions, breaks between the semesters and the Rector’s days – check important dates that apply to research and teaching employees as well as administrative personnel.

 

ACADEMIC YEAR 2021/2022

 

1) the official inauguration of the academic year takes place on 1 October 2021

2) inauguration of the academic year at the Faculties should take place until 2 October 2021;

3) didactic classes start on 2 October 2021 and last until 23 January 2022;

4) days off from the didactic classes are, as follows:
a) 31 October 2021  the Rector’s day(part-time (weekend) studies),
b) 2 November 2021 – the Rector’s day (full-time (daytime) and part-time (weekend) studies),
c) from23 December 2021 until 2 January 2022 – winter holiday break,
d) from 7 to 13 February 2022 – break between the semesters;


5) examination sessions in the winter semester take place on the following dates:
a) from 24 January until 6 February 2022  – winter examination session,
b) from 14 until 20 February 2022 – winter make-up examination session.

The Faculty Deans may decide to start the summer semester up to one week earlier. This change cannot affect settlement of absences in the Individual Teaching Load Card (KIOD). 

1) didactic classes start on 21 February and last until 13 June 2022;

2) days off from the classes are, as follows:
a) from 13 until 19 April 2022 – Easter holiday break,
b) 2 May 2022 – the Rector’s day (full-time (daytime) and part-time (weekend) studies),
c) one May Friday – the Rector’s day due to Juwenalia (full-time (daytime) and part-time (weekend) studies), 
d) 24 May 2022 – the Rector’s day due to the Celebration Day of the University of Lodz (full-time (daytime) and part-time (weekend) studies),
e) 5 June 2022 – day off (part-time (weekend) studies).


3) examination sessions in the summer semester take place on the following dates:
a) from 14 June until 11 July 2022  – summer examination session,
b) from 12 July until 30 September 2022 – break for summer holidays, scientific camps, internships, etc.;
c) dates of final assessments and examinations during autumn examination session taking place in September are determined by the Dean.


The Dean may prolong classes as part of part-time (weekend) studies until 20 June 2022 and decide on exemption from classes on days preceding or following other days off. This change cannot affect the settlement of settlement of absences in the Individual Teaching Load Card (KIOD).

1) the official inauguration of the academic year takes place on 5 October 2020;

2) inauguration of the academic year at the Faculties should take place until 16 October 2020;

3) didactic classes start on 19 October 2020 and last until 7 February 2021;

4) days off from the classes are, as follows:
a) 31 October 2020 – the Rector’s day (part-time (weekend) studies),
b) from 23 December 2020 until 6 January 2021 – winter holiday break,
c) from 22 to 28 February 2021 – break between the semesters;

5) examination sessions in the winter semester take place on the following dates: 
a) from 8 to 21 February 2021 – winter examination session,
b) from 1 to 7 March 2021 – winter make-up examination session.

The Faculty Deans may decide to start the summer semester up to one week earlier. This change cannot affect settlement of absences in the Individual Teaching Load Card (KIOD).

1) didactic classes start on 8 March and last until 20 June 2021;

2) days off from the classes are, as follows:
a) from 2 to 6 April 2021 Easter holiday break,
b) 2 May 2021 – the Rector’s day (full-time (daytime) and part-time (weekend) studies),
c) one May Friday – the Rector’s day due to Juwenalia (full-time (daytime) and part-time (weekend) studies), 
d) 24 May 2021 – the Rector’s day due to the Celebration Day of the University of Lodz (full-time (daytime) and part-time (weekend) studies),


3) examination sessions in the summer semester take place on the following dates:
a) from 21 June until 4 July 2021 – summer examination session,
b) from 5 July to 30 September 2021 – break for summer holidays, scientific camps, internships, etc.;
c) dates of final assessments and examinations during autumn examination session taking place in September are determined by the Dean.

The Dean may prolong classes as part of part-time (weekend) studies until 27 June 2021 and decide on exemption from classes on days preceding or following other days off. This change cannot affect the settlement of settlement of absences in the Individual Teaching Load Card (KIOD).
