Academic Calendar

1. The formal inauguration of the academic year takes place on 1 October 2026.
2. Faculty inaugurations of the academic year should take place by 1 October 2026.
3. Classes begin on 2 October 2026 and continue until 24 January 2027.
4. The following free days are set for the winter semester:
   • 31 October 2026 – Rector’s day (part-time studies),
   • 2 November 2026 – Rector’s day (full-time studies),
   • 23 December 2026 - 6 January 2027 – winter break,
   • 8-14 February 2027 – semester break.
5. Examination sessions in the winter semester take place on the following dates:
   • 25 January -7 February 2027 – winter examination session;
   • 15-21 February 2027 – winter make-up examination session.

1. Classes begin on 22 February and continue until 13 June 2027.
2. The following free days are set for the summer semester:
   • 24-30 March 2027 – spring break,
   • 2 May 2027 – Rector’s day (part-time studies),
   • one Friday in May – Rector’s day, Juwenalia Student Festival (full-time and part-time studies),
   • 16 May 2027 – day off on the occasion of the Feast of Pentecost (part-time studies),
   • 24 May 2027 – Rector’s day, University of Lodz Celebration (full-time and part-time studies),
   • 28 May 2027 – Rector’s day (full-time and part-time studies).
3. Examination sessions in the summer semester take place on the following dates:
   • 14 June - 4 July 2027 – summer examination session,
   • 5 July to 30 September 2027 – summer break,
   • the dates for final course credit and examinations in the autumn examination session in September are set by the dean.

2. Inauguration of the academic year at the Faculties should take place until 1 October 2025.
3. Didactic classes start on 2 October 2025 and last until 25 January 2026.
4. Days off from the didactic classes are, as follows:
   • 31 October 2025 – Rector’s day;
   • 2 November 2025 – Rector’s day;
   • from 23 December 2025 until 6 January 2026 – winter holiday break;
   • from 9 to 15 February 2026 – break between the semesters.
5. Examination sessions in the winter semester take place on the following dates:
   • from 26 January to 8 February 2026 – winter examination session;
   • from 16 to 22 February 2026 – winter make-up examination session.

1. Didactic classes start on 23 February and last until 14 June 2026.
2. Days off from the classes are, as follows:
   • from 1 to 7 April 2026 – Easter holiday break;
   • 2 May 2025 – Rector’s day;
   • one May Friday – might be declared the Rector’s day due to Juwenalia (students' festival);
   • 25 May 2026 – Rector’s day, due to the Celebration Day of the University of Lodz;
   • 5 June 2026 – Rector’s day.
3. Examination sessions in the summer semester take place on the following dates:
   • from 15 June to 5 July 2026 – summer examination session;
   • from 6 July to 30 September 2026 – break for summer holidays, scientific camps, internships, etc.
   • dates of final assessments and examinations during autumn examination session taking place in September are determined by the Dean.
