If you’re an international researcher starting your professional journey with us, you can count on the support of the International Hub – a dedicated unit that assists newcomers from abroad.

The team has prepared a set of useful materials and documents to help you navigate the entire employment process smoothly. From practical tips to a step-by-step guidance, the International Hub is here to make your transition to working and living in Lodz as seamless as possible.

• The opportunity to work at a university with a strong academic and teaching profile, engaged in international cooperation: we are a member UNIC – one of the European University Alliances and other international networks such as Euraxess, Magna Charta Observatory, Baltic University Program.
• The possibility to apply for research grants such as Horizon, NCN, MSCA, NAWA (National Agency for Academic Exchange).
• Support by professional staff at every stage of the employment and legalisation processes.

• Application – You submit your documents in response to a selected job offer.
• (Diploma recognition process) – If needed. At this stage you should make sure that your education is recognised in Poland.
• Interview – If your application is shortlisted, we will invite you for an interview.
• Recruitment results – Once the process is complete, the selected candidate will be offered a position.
• Promise of employment – You will receive a promise of employment required e.g. for visa application.
• Preparing documents – At this stage you should prepare documents necessary in the employment process and to legalise your stay. 
• Medical examination – You will receive a referral for a mandatory medical check-up.
• Signing documents – With the medical results, you will visit the University of Lodz Employee Affairs Centre to sign the documents required to prepare your contract.
• Receiving the contract – Once the contract is signed by the university’s authorised representatives, you will be invited to collect the document.
