GRANT COMPETITIONS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF LODZ UniLodz IDUB

We took part in the first edition of the Excellence Initiative - Research University competition. All the funds obtained as part of the subsidy increased by 2% are invested in our researchers and their ideas as part of internal grant competitions of the University of Lodz - UniLodz IDUB. 

STUDENT RESEARCH GRANTS

We have already invested more than PLN 1 million in quality research conducted by our students. As part of the Student Research Grants, young humanists, representatives of social and natural sciences have implemented their research ideas.

YOUNG SCIENTISTS DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL

Young Scientists Development Council has been operating at the University of Lodz since 2020. It was established by the UL Rector, Prof. Elżbieta Żądzińska. Its main tasks include taking care of the conditions under which researchers begin their scientific careers and helping them to conduct research.

We are a classical university. We care about development and strive for research excellence in every scientific field and discipline practiced at our university. Scientists from the University of Lodz conduct research in a wide range of disciplines within the humanities, natural sciences and social sciences.  

The University Achievement Information System ScienceON is a part of the University of Lodz IT system, which collects information about scientific, teaching and organisational achievements, awards and honours, as well as professional activity of employees, doctoral students, students and people affiliated with the University of Lodz.

The use of ScienceON is to improve the acquisition and analysis of reporting and evaluation data (generating reports and summaries, also for the Ministry responsible for higher education supervising the university), informing about the results of conducted research, obtained patents and certificates. ScienceON contains lists of publications of individual people and units, data on research and implementation projects carried out at the University of Lodz, teaching and science promotion activities, international cooperation and other achievements related to the professional development of the University of Lodz employees and infrastructure.

In the era of fake news and unreliable sources, dissemination of information coming from valued authorities, in this case scientists, is an obligation of each research institution. Therefore, our university has been consistently building a database of experts ready to share knowledge in the area of their research interests.

As the creator of the Memorial Prize of Prof. Tadeusz Kotarbiński, the first Rector of the University of Lodz, we integrate the environment of Polish humanists.
