10th SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE PROTECTION AND SECURITY IN FINANCIAL MARKETS: BUILDING THE RESILIENCE OF THE SYSTEM AND EMPOWERING PARTICIPANTS

We invite submissions of original research, case studies, and policy addressing emerging challenges and innovations in financial market security, consumer protection, banking resilience and so on. Suggested topics include, but are not limited to:

  1. Artificial intelligence and machine learning in detecting financial crimes 
    Strengthening safeguards against money laundering, fraud, and sanctions evasion.
  2. Cybersecurity and protection in financial markets, including in the FinTech and BigTech sectors 
    Threats (such as ransomware, phishing, quantum risks, and deepfake fraud), resilience strategies, biometric authentication, and privacy-protecting technologies.
  3. Harmonization and development of regulations in financial markets 
    Balancing consumer privacy, financial innovations, and regulatory oversight; cross-border cooperation in AML/CFT, sanctions compliance, and supervisory technologies (SupTech).
  4. Consumer protection in global financial markets 
    Protecting consumers from hidden fees, prohibited contractual clauses, and misleading financial products; safeguarding retail investors in the cryptocurrency, tokenized assets, and decentralized finance (DeFi) markets.
  5. Financial crises and crisis management 
    Stability of the financial sector in the face of systemic shocks (pandemics, wars, cyber incidents), as well as regulatory penalties, enforcement proceedings, and supervisory practices.
  6. Security of commercial and cooperative banking

    Ensuring fairness, transparency, and accountability in automated decision-making processes and financial services.
  8. Green finance and ESG-related risks 
    Regulatory challenges in sustainable finance and preventing fraud and greenwashing.
  9. Central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) and financial security 
    Analysis of risks, safeguards, and international standards for sovereign digital currencies.
  10. Financial education and financial inclusion 
    Strengthening consumers’ financial knowledge and awareness; ensuring safe and fair access to financial services for underserved and vulnerable groups.
  11. Household budget management and financial resilience of households 
    Tools, education, and policy actions supporting the financial stability of families in times of uncertainty.
  12. Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in the financial market 
    Handling consumer complaints, mediation, and other activities of ADR institutions, such as the Financial Ombudsman and the Banking Ombudsman.
