During the International Symposium of Ecologists of Montenegro in Budva, Montenegro, Piotr Gadawski presented the research results of a Polish-Montenegrin-Canadian team!
He focused on the genetic and taxonomic connectivity of Chironomidae flies inhabiting the springs of the ancient Lake Skadar basin in Montenegro and Albania. The results of this research are of enormous importance for developing conservation strategies for these unique and endangered aquatic ecosystems!
The 10th International Symposium of the Ecologists of Montenegro is the largest forum for the exchange of ideas between zoologists, ecologists, and botanists whose research focuses on the Balkan Peninsula.
