I hold a Master’s degree in International Relations with a specialisation in Political Science (2008), a Master’s degree in Mathematics with a focus on Theoretical Mathematics (2018), and a PhD in Philosophy with a specialisation in Philosophical Logic (2013). I have been affiliated with the university since 2014, initially as an Assistant Professor on a part-time basis and, since October 2015, in a full-time capacity.

Between June 2020 and June 2023, I was on research leave while holding a research position at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Oxford.

In my research, I focus on broadly understood mathematical and philosophical logic, with particular emphasis on modal and non-classical logics, computational complexity, automated theorem proving, knowledge representation and reasoning, as well as the methodology of science.

Beyond my professional work, my interests include jazz and classical music, both literary fiction and genre literature, and, in the realm of sports, volleyball and tennis — as both a player and an enthusiastic supporter.

I was awarded the Minister’s Scholarship for Outstanding Students (2009) and the Minister’s Scholarship for Outstanding Doctoral Candidates (2013).

I served as the principal investigator of the project “Deductive Systems and the Problem of Decidability for Hybrid Logics”, funded by the National Science Centre.

I have also contributed as a researcher to four other projects funded by the National Science Centre.

From June 2020 to June 2023, I held the position of Senior Research Associate at the Department of Computer Science, University of Oxford.

In February 2021, I served as co-supervisor of Dr. Przemysław Wałęga’s doctoral dissertation “Sub-propositional Fragments of Halpern-Shoham Logic: Between Expressiveness and Complexity” (University of Warsaw / University of Oxford), which was awarded with distinction.
