The University of Lodz Campus Council encourages you to take part in the second edition of its blood donation drive, organised in cooperation with the Regional Blood and Blood Donation Center (RCKiK) in Lodz. The event will be held on 21 April 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the University of Lodz Dormitory "Balbina".
The initiative demonstrates that the academic community can work together not only for learning and development, but also to provide real support to others. Donating blood is one of the simplest ways to do something important – without fanfares but with enormous impact.
The campaign is free and open to anyone eligible to donate blood. Participants will receive, among other things, a calorie equivalent, a gift from the Regional Blood and Blood Donation Center (RCKiK), a randomly selected gift and an opportunity to obtain a certificate exempting them from work or classes. However, the most important thing remains something that can't be wrapped or given away: the feeling of having done something truly good.
Before arriving, please:
- bring a photo ID,
- eat a light, low-fat meal,
- drink plenty of water.
This is very important; during the previous edition, some people were disqualified precisely because they arrived on an empty stomach or did not know the basic preparation rules.

At the University of Lodz, we believe that a community has the greatest strength when it can care for others. Therefore, you should overcome fear and donate blood.
