The international Science, Technology and Innovation Indicators (STI) Conference is one of the world’s most prestigious and influential academic events in the fields of scientometrics, research evaluation and innovation policy. This year’s 30th anniversary edition, held in Antwerp, was organised under the patronage of the European Network of Indicator Developers (ENID) and, alongside events organised by ISSI, is regarded as the world’s leading forum for discussions on indicators of science and technology development.

Dr Justyna Dziedzic from the Faculty of Management at the University of Lodz participated in this year’s edition of the conference. The researcher presented the findings of the study entitled “Academic Personal Branding in Digital Academia: Integrating Impression Management and Brand Management, with Implications for Responsible Research Evaluation”. The topic addressed a highly relevant challenge: the development of academics’ personal brands in the context of responsible research evaluation.

The studies presented during the event directly contribute to shaping standards for the assessment of scientific achievements and research development strategies applied by, among others, the European Commission, the OECD and national research funding agencies.

The conference brought together representatives of the world’s most highly regarded research institutions, including the Dutch research centre CWTS Leiden and the Belgian ECOOM, as well as experts from Europe, North America, Asia and Australia.
