"The Power of Didactics" at the UniLodz Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection: Development of Competences, International Cooperation and Exchange of Experience

Last week, Dr Katarzyna Mokra from the Department of Biophysics of Environmental Pollution and Izabela Kaczmarek, a doctoral student at the University of Lodz Doctoral School of Exact and Natural Sciences, took part in a study visit to the University of Zagreb in Croatia as part of the project "The Power of Didactics –Development of Qualifications and Competences of the University of Lodz Staff". The visit took place at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, under the supervision of Prof. Tomislav Ivanković.

The opportunity to participate in the visit was provided to project participants who had completed the mandatory four-stage support pathway and had successfully passed the verification process confirming the enhancement of their teaching, digital and green transformation competences.

During the visit, the participants took part in a working meeting, observed classes and became familiar with modern teaching methods and tools supporting academic education. The visit also provided an opportunity to further develop international cooperation and exchange experience in the field of innovative teaching solutions, which will be implemented in classes conducted at our university.

Information about the project

The project "The Power of Didactics –Development of Qualifications and Competences of the University of Lodz Staff" is implemented under Agreement No. FERS.01.05.IP.08-211/23 as part of the European Funds for Social Development 2021–2027 programme, co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus.

Objectives of the project

The aim of the project is to improve the quality of education at the University of Lodz by enhancing teaching, digital, green transformation and other competences among at least 150 members of the teaching staff and a minimum of 35 doctoral students through training courses, certified courses, workshops and national and international study visits.
