UniLodz Strengthens Its International Standing: Three Faculties Join EFMD Global

The University of Lodz has achieved another important milestone in the implementation of its internationalisation strategy and efforts to enhance the quality of education. The Faculty of Economics and Sociology, the Faculty of Management, as well as the Faculty of International and Political Studies have been granted Full Member status within EFMD Global, thereby joining the prestigious EFMD Global Network.

Membership was approved by the EFMD Global Membership Committee and officially came into effect on 8 June 2026. This decision reflects recognition of the high quality of the faculties’ teaching and research activities, as well as their commitment to the development of modern, internationalised education.

EFMD Global is one of the most renowned organisations bringing together universities and business schools worldwide. Its network encompasses leading higher education institutions, companies and partner organisations, supporting the advancement of management education, international cooperation, and continuous quality improvement in higher education.

Joining EFMD Global opens up new opportunities for the University of Lodz faculties to cooperate with partners from around the world, participate in international projects, development programmes and events, as well as exchange experience and best practices with leading academic institutions.

Obtaining membership also marks the beginning of a new stage of development. The Faculty of Economics and Sociology and the Faculty of Management are commencing preparations to apply for the prestigious EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) accreditation, one of the most highly regarded distinctions worldwide confirming the highest standards of quality in education, research, internationalisation, and engagement with the socio-economic environment.

At the same time, the Faculty of International and Political Studies is beginning preparations to obtain EFMD Programme Accreditation for the International Marketing degree programme. This accreditation confirms the programme’s compliance with international quality standards and enhances its attractiveness to students and international partners alike.

The simultaneous accession of three University of Lodz faculties to EFMD Global is an event of strategic importance for the entire university. It represents another step in the consistently implemented strategy of internationalisation, strengthening the quality of education, and building the position of the University of Lodz as a modern academic institution actively participating in the global higher education community.
