The project by Polish teachers at the University of Lodz, titled "Bajeczna dydaktyka: polskie i włoskie inspiracje literacko-lingwistyczne" [Fairytale Didactics: Polish and Italian Literary and Linguistic Inspirations] is among 20 winning applications selected for funding under the NAWA (Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange) Promotion of the Polish Language programme. The results of the latest edition of the competition were announced at the end of September.

Opublikowano: 08 October 2025

The project leader is Dr Agnieszka Kowalkiewicz-Kulesza from the Department of Polish Language and Literature Teaching, Faculty of Philology, University of Lodz. The project activities were designed for Italian students from the Department of Literary, Linguistic and Comparative Studies at the University of Naples “L’Orientale”, as well as students and their families from the Saturday School of Polish Language and Culture at Lago Patria.

The "Bajeczna dydaktyka: polskie i włoskie inspiracje literacko-lingwistyczne" project is a continuation of our previously established cooperation with the Naples university. Our goal is to popularise the Polish language and culture among the local academic community. However, we don't stop there. Our plans also include educational meetings with students and their families from the Saturday School of Polish Language and Culture at Lago Patria. We are thrilled to be exploring the beauty of Polish literature and language together, inspired by the richness of meaning found in fairy tales and fables. We are planning to record a series of popular science lectures in the form of podcasts and videocasts, prepare "fabulous" literary escape rooms, organise language workshops, a theatre and recitation competition, and a scientific Polish-Italian family picnic with a range of engaging educational games. We hope that the project will strengthen the bond between Poland and Italy, encourage Polish language learning and create a friendly space for intercultural dialogue

– underlines the project leader.

In addition to Dr Kowalkiewicz-Kulesza, the project will also involve Dr Anna Sokół-Klein (Department of Contemporary Polish Language, University of Lodz), Dr Klaudia Jeznach (Department of Polish Language and Literature Teaching, University of Lodz) and representatives of the Italian side: Prof. Andrea De Carlo (coordinator) and mgr Magdalena Szałaj, (lecturer in Polish at the University of Naples “L’Orientale”.
