FAQ
The University of Lodz Mentorship programme is open to all students of the University of Lodz, regardless of their level of studies or major.
Working with a mentor involves regular meetings during which a student can benefit from the mentor’s knowledge and practical experience. The mentor supports career planning, helps broaden the student’s perspective on professional opportunities, shares experiences, and inspires action. It is a space for asking questions, clearing up doubts, and gaining valuable guidance.
Meetings are held at least once a month over a period of six months. The exact number of meetings and their format (in-person or online) are decided individually within each mentoring pair.
The first step is to read the mentors' profiles, which can be found in the list of mentors at the beginning of each call.
Then fill in the online application form. In the form you must indicate up to 3 preferred mentors. However, the indication is only informative and does not guarantee assignment to the selected mentor. The final decision on the selection of the mentee belongs to the mentor.
The application form is published at the beginning of the recruitment for each edition.
Leave us your contact details, and we will inform you about the start of the recruitment.
You should indicate up to 3 mentors in the application form, which is published at the beginning of October.
See the project schedule for details. If you do not want to miss the deadline, leave us your contact details in the application form.
In the application form, you should describe why you decided to apply to the University of Lodz Mentorship Programme, attach your current CV and a photo. Your answers along with your CV will be forwarded to the mentors, and your photo will be used when the mentorship pairs are published on the website. Make sure it is as professional as possible.
There is no limit on reapplying to the University of Lodz Mentorship Programme; however, priority is always given to those candidates who have not worked with a mentor before.
Any additional activity outside of your major will certainly be welcomed and increase your chances of participating in the Project. However, lack of additional activities does not eliminate your chances.
Your application is sent to the mentors listed in the application form. In order to increase your chances of participating in the programme, with your approval, the application may be forwarded to another mentor.
