MENTORSHIP PROGRAMME

DISCOVER YOUR POTENTIAL UNDER THE GUIDANCE OF A MENTOR!

grafika Programu mentoringowego

Your development doesn’t end with classes or involvement in student organisations. If you already know which direction you’d like to take after graduation – or, on the contrary, if you have passions and interests but aren’t sure yet how to turn them into a fulfilling career – the University of Lodz Mentorship programme is just for you.

What will you gain by joining the programme?

  • Define realistic yet ambitious career goals – with the support of experienced mentors
  • Discover your strengths and weaknesses – thanks to an individual approach that will help you develop them further
  • Find motivation and inspiration to act – your mentor will share practical experience you won’t find in textbooks
  • Get support in turning plans into action – from idea to implementation
  • Gain a better understanding of the job market – learn which career paths are open to you and which may prove most rewarding

The University of Lodz Mentorship programme offers you the opportunity to meet people who once stood where you are now – and who are today recognised experts in their fields. Use their knowledge and experience to wisely plan your future.

FAQ

Who can participate in the University of Lodz Mentorship programme ?

The University of Lodz Mentorship programme is open to all students of the University of Lodz, regardless of their level of studies or major.

What does working with a mentor involve?

Working with a mentor involves regular meetings during which a student can benefit from the mentor’s knowledge and practical experience. The mentor supports career planning, helps broaden the student’s perspective on professional opportunities, shares experiences, and inspires action. It is a space for asking questions, clearing up doubts, and gaining valuable guidance.

How often do meetings with a mentor take place?

Meetings are held at least once a month over a period of six months. The exact number of meetings and their format (in-person or online) are decided individually within each mentoring pair.

How to apply to the University of Lodz Mentorship programme?

The first step is to read the mentors' profiles, which can be found in the list of mentors at the beginning of each call.

Then fill in the online application form. In the form you must indicate up to 3 preferred mentors. However, the indication is only informative and does not guarantee assignment to the selected mentor. The final decision on the selection of the mentee belongs to the mentor.

The application form is published at the beginning of the recruitment for each edition.

Leave us your contact details, and we will inform you about the start of the recruitment.

How many mentors can you apply to?

You should indicate up to 3 mentors in the application form, which is published at the beginning of October.

See the project schedule for details. If you do not want to miss the deadline, leave us your contact details in the application form.

What documents or information are required while applying to the Mentorship programme?

In the application form, you should describe why you decided to apply to the University of Lodz Mentorship Programme, attach your current CV and a photo. Your answers along with your CV will be forwarded to the mentors, and your photo will be used when the mentorship pairs are published on the website. Make sure it is as professional as possible.

Can I apply for the second time to the University of Lodz Mentorship programme?

There is no limit on reapplying to the University of Lodz Mentorship Programme; however, priority is always given to those candidates who have not worked with a mentor before.

Are there any special requirements for the programme applicants, such as social activity or academic achievements?

Any additional activity outside of your major will certainly be welcomed and increase your chances of participating in the Project. However, lack of additional activities does not eliminate your chances.

Is it possible to work with a mentor who is not indicated in the form?

Your application is sent to the mentors listed in the application form. In order to increase your chances of participating in the programme, with your approval, the application may be forwarded to another mentor.
