In my work, I focus on two aspects. On the one hand, I conduct research on the intellectual and cultural history of the 18th century, the history of the culture of the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth nobility, and the education of the nobility, especially educational journeys. On the other hand, I teach students, mainly in the fields of modern Polish history, the history of travel, and broadly understood cultural history (including history in literature and the history of cinema).
I am also passionate about popularising knowledge about the past to a wide range of audiences. I give lectures to students of the University of the Third Age, secondary school pupils and foreign students, but I also popularise historical knowledge to anyone interested (on the subject of travel in past centuries and the broadly understood history of modern culture). As part of the ‘Talented at School - Brilliant at The University" programme, I mentor secondary school pupils who are interested in deepening their knowledge and acquiring new skills.
