She is a graduate of psychology at the University of Lodz. She obtained her PhD in psychology from Kazimierz Wielki University in Bydgoszcz and her habilitation degree in the field of social sciences, discipline: psychology, from the University of Lodz. Her research focuses on the determinants of healthy ageing and well-being across different contexts and stages of life. She is the author and co-author of numerous scientific publications in this field, including papers published in highly ranked international journals. She has extensive professional experience as a practicing psychologist in healthcare and social welfare institutions, as well as in delivering training courses and workshops aimed at developing psychosocial competencies. She has served as a principal investigator and/or researcher in numerous international projects funded by the European Commission, focusing on the promotion of mental health and the development of social and emotional skills, and was also the principal investigator of an IDUB grant for experienced researchers entitled “Attitudes Toward One’s Own Ageing: Identifying New Dimensions of Positive Ageing.” She completed a three-month research fellowship at the University of Silesia and several teaching and research mobilities under the Erasmus+ Staff Mobility programme, including at the University of Ostrava in the Czech Republic and the University of Applied Sciences in Dornbirn, Austria. She actively promotes science among older adults and currently collaborates with the Educational Senior Support and Activity Centre “EDU-SOWA” at the University of Łódź Senior Home. She is a member of the Polish Psychological Association, the European Society for Research in Adult Development, and the National Center for Healthy Ageing.
Research interests focus on health psychology, geropsychology, positive and educational psychology. She conducts research in two main areas: (1) exploring the determinants of healthy aging processes, including health behaviors and well-being of older adults, and (2) promoting well-being in education—both from the perspective of the student and the teacher. Additionally, she is involved in the construction and cultural adaptation of psychometric measurement tools.
