Dr Małgorzata Dzimińska works as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Labour and Social Policy at the University of Lodz, Poland.
She holds a PhD in social sciences with the specialty in pedagogy from the University of Social Sciences in Warsaw, Master degree in English Philology from the University of Lodz. She also studied Intercultural Communication at the University of Tampere and Project Management at Harvard University.
After working in international business, in 2017 she re-entered Academia. She teaches the following courses in English: Advanced Communication, Project Management, Leadership and Design Thinking. Małgorzata Dzimińska is an experienced project manager. She has been managing and partnering on international projects both for business and for universities since 2000. She is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Manager (Postgraduate Management Studies) and Design Thinking Moderator.
Dr Małgorzata Dzimińska is the initiator and director of the first two editions of the Science Hub UniLodz programme (2022–2024; 2024–2026) implemented at the University of Łódź, an initiative promoting socially engaged research and cooperation between the university and its social and economic environment among students, academic staff and external partners. During the first two editions of the Science Hub UniLodz programme, 53 community engagement projects were carried out, including 12 international projects developed as part of the European UNIC alliance. Work within the programme focuses on developing students’ professional skills, interdisciplinary collaboration and the practical application of academic knowledge to address real-world social challenges. She publishes in international journals, delivers papers at conferences, actively collaborates with international research teams, and is involved in the activities of international associations in the field of higher education, including EAIR, SRHE, CHER and HERA.
Serves as Director of the Centre for City Futures https://www.unic.eu/en/city-futures operating within the UNIC European University Alliance (European University of Cities in Post-Industrial Transition www.unic.eu). The Centre focuses on strengthening collaboration between universities, cities, and societal stakeholders in areas related to urban futures, social resilience, innovation, and sustainable development.
Dr Małgorzata Dzimińska serves also as a member of the Board of the University of Lodz Foundation, supporting academic, educational, and social initiatives connected with the development of the University of Lodz and its cooperation with external stakeholders. https://fundacja.uni.lodz.pl
Dr Małgorzata Dzimińska explores higher education management, quality culture in academia, science communication, and engaged research. Her work focuses on how universities can build sustainable cultures of quality, trust, innovation, and social engagement while responding to the changing expectations of students, academic staff, and external stakeholders. Her research combines perspectives from higher education studies, organizational management and quality, communication, and participatory research.

The Ideal University - the perspective of students. A project funded by the Faculty of Economics and Sociology of the University of Łódź aimed at constructing a model of the ideal university as perceived by students. It included conducting 12 focus groups with 63 study participants in 2021.
