Interests

Dr Małgorzata Dzimińska explores higher education management, quality culture in academia, science communication, and engaged research. Her work focuses on how universities can build sustainable cultures of quality, trust, innovation, and social engagement while responding to the changing expectations of students, academic staff, and external stakeholders. Her research combines perspectives from higher education studies, organizational management and quality, communication, and participatory research.

Across her publications, she addresses questions such as:

  • How can universities develop a sustainable and trust-based quality culture?
  • What role does trust play in effective higher education management and institutional development?
  • How can students become active co-creators of academic quality and university culture?
  • How should universities communicate science in increasingly complex and polarized societies?
  • How do people engage with science communication across different cultural and social contexts?
  • How can engaged research strengthen collaboration between universities and society?
  • In what ways do university–community partnerships contribute to competence development, innovation, and institutional transformation?
  • How can academic institutions balance managerial efficiency with participation, dialogue, and social responsibility?
  • Which organizational and communication practices support innovation culture in higher education institutions?
  • Her research has also explored themes related to participatory research, stakeholder engagement, social trust, and the evolving social mission of universities. Recent projects additionally investigate how collaborative initiatives such as Science Hub create spaces for experiential learning, interdisciplinary cooperation, and socially responsive innovation.

Her work also encompasses studies on participatory research, stakeholder engagement, the socio-cultural dimension of trust, and the evolving social mission of the university. In recent years, particular emphasis has been placed on projects analysing how initiatives such as the Science Hub create opportunities for experiential learning, interdisciplinary collaboration and socially responsible innovation.
