PROFIL PRACOWNIKA: Paulina Szymańska

Didactic responsibilities:

• I conduct lectures and classes with students (e.g. Introduction to Psychology, Family Psychology, Resocialisation Psychology, Psychology in School Practice);
• by virtue of my role, I am also involved in the development and updating of curricula and teaching/learning plans;
• I lead the MA seminar and review MA theses;

Academic responsibilities include:

• conducting and participating in research and development work, mainly in the area of developmental and family psychology;
• raising funds for research, e.g. by applying for competitions (Horizon 2020, IDUB, faculty grants);
• publishing the results of conducted research in scientific journals and monographs;
• participation in scientific conferences and seminars.

Organisational activities:

• I hold various organisational positions in university bodies, including :
  • Deputy Director of the Institute of Psychology for Teaching;
  • Vice-Chairperson of the Council for the Development of Young Scientists at the University of Łódź (https://www.uni.lodz.pl/wydzialy-i-jednostki/rada-rozwoju-mlodych-naukowcow);
  • Member of the Council of the Faculty of Education Sciences and the Council of the Institute of Psychology;
  • Member of the Faculty Education Quality Committee of the WNoW;
  • Member of the Advisory Board for Climate and Environmental Policy at the University of Łódź;I also act as a tutor for first-year students of psychology;
• I organise conferences, symposia, seminars at the Institute of Psychology.
