Our students had the opportunity to tackle a real-world business challenge – developing a tool to automate and optimise networking during Lodz Special Economic Zone events. As every year, the classes were held in a mini-hackathon format, led by Dr Dominika Kaczorowska-Spychalska, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz, and dr hab. Artur Modliński, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz, demonstrating that academic knowledge is highly applicable in the business world.
We sincerely thank Director Magda Kubicka and experts Magdalena Smulczyk and Monika Tomaszewska for their trust and for the opportunity to support the development of our students.
Special congratulations and the greatest applause go to the winning teams, whose solutions and pitch decks proved to be the best:
- Wiktoria Karlikowska, Iwo Misztalski, Oliwier Filipowicz, Jacek Grzegorzewski, Cezary Wojciechowski
and
- Julia Woźniak, Patrycja Małecka, Agata Ogłaza, Olga Junczys, Paulina Potasiak
Students on the project:
The opportunity to work on a real-world problem faced by such a large institution was a significant challenge for us. Transforming theories of data analysis and process automation into a concrete technological solution with the potential to genuinely improve event organisation gave us enormous satisfaction and invaluable experience.
We would like to extend our congratulations to the students on their outstanding work and wish them continued success in their professional and academic careers.
