Thanks to the subsidy from the "Lodz for the Young" programme implemented by the Lodz Voivodeship Marshal's Office, students pursuing PhD degree at the University of Lodz Doctoral Schools have had the opportunity to pursue a range of research and development activities.
The funding allowed for participation in numerous trips, primarily to national and international conferences, as well as specialised courses and training sessions. These meetings provide an important platform for exchanging knowledge, presenting research results and establishing cooperations. Furthermore, many activities included fieldwork and research in libraries of Polish and foreign research centres.
The numerous purchases of laboratory supplies, chemical reagents and modern computer accessories were also crucial, especially for those conducting research in the Exact and Natural Sciences. Apparatus equipped with the latest technology, ensures the efficient implementation of research projects and world-class publications.
Specialist expertise, which improves the quality of the conducted research is an important element of doctoral research. Funds in the programme have been allocated for linguistic and editorial proofreading of prepared articles, ensuring their precision and compliance with publication requirements. Additionally, conference materials have been prepared, including professional poster prints, which enabled the effective presentation of research results.
Thanks to the funding from the budget of the Lodz Voivodeship government, the University of Lodz Doctoral Schools consistently raise academic standards, develop their representation in national and international research networks, and strengthen the University of Lodz's position in the world of science.
