The planned visit of Prof. Manuel Nabais da Furriel, Rector of Universidade Católica de Brasília, scheduled for 6 October was one of the main topics of the discussion. During the visit, the University of Lodz and the Brazilian university will sign a letter of intent, which is expected to be the first step towards establishing a bilateral agreement.
The participants also discussed courses in Brazilian Portuguese, as well as the potential for economic cooperation between Brazil and the Lodz region.
The University of Lodz was represented at the meeting by Prof. Rafał Matera, Rector of the University of Lodz, dr hab. Katarzyna de Lazari-Radek, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz, Vice-Rector for Internationalisation of Science and Education, and Małgorzata Gramala, Head of the International Centre.
The meeting was also attended by Damian Biniek, Honorary Consul of Brazil in Lodz, and Dorota Lombardi, Deputy Director of the Investor Acquisition and Services Department.
