The reduction in working hours was dictated by suggestions submitted by employees. In previous years, decisions to shorten working hours on hot days were made on an emergency basis. The lack of prior coordination and clarity regarding summer working hours limited the ability of individual units to plan and implement their tasks.
This year, to meet expectations and ensure work comfort, the university has decided to implement a pilot solution. We view it as a form of support and convenience that, where possible, can positively impact the operation of teams during hot weather

Reduced working hours apply to the central administration units. Information about opening hours for individual units is published on their websites and, in the case of visitor services, posted on room doors.
At the UniLodz faculty and non-faculty units, decisions regarding the implementation of summer work are made by the deans or heads of the unit, respectively. Detailed information can be found on the websites of these units.
Before visiting central administration units, you should:
- check the unit's opening hours on the Employee Portal or website.
- if the issue does not require in-person attendance, contact the office by e-mail, phone, or online.
- make an appointment in advance, especially for matters requiring on-site attendance.
