The call for applications for both ministerial competitions started on 15 March and lasted until 30 April 2021. Due to the limited number of applications that could be submitted by one university, it was preceded by an internal call, as a result of which 13 projects representing the University of Lodz were selected.

The Excellent Science programme supports projects aimed at presenting scientific achievements, including the latest results of scientific research or development works, by organising conferences and publishing scientific monographs. The Social Responsibility of Science programme supports projects aimed at popularizing science or promoting academic sport and projects related to the maintenance of library resources of significant importance to science or its heritage. The ranking lists of applications qualified for funding as part of the programmes are available on the website of the Ministry:

It has been the second edition of both programmes. The next one will be announced by the University of Lodz Science Centre after the Minister has announced the call.
