Halloween is an opportunity to meet and have fun in a spooky atmosphere full of vampires and ghosts. It's also a good time to visit places with dark history. Few people know about the crime that took place at the Biedermann's Palace. Halloween is a perfect time to visit this place.

After the death of his older brother Alfred in 1936, Bruno became head of the family business. Once Lodz became liberated by the Red Army, the new government decided to get rid of everything associated with the Germans. The Biedermanns were ordered to vacate the palace. They were given one hour to move out, and they were allowed to take only one suitcase with them. Faced with this threat and deportation, Bruno took a tragic step. On the morning of 25 January 1945, the bodies of the manufacturer, his wife Luiza, and Maryla were found. The women had been shot in the head, while Bruno had shot himself in the mouth. The women reportedly took sleeping pills before their deaths. This tragic event occurred in room number 208. Interestingly, it was not until the 1970s that the remains of three people and several personal items were found during earthworks at the palace.

Before guests delve into the palace's darkness, they'll see the screening of "The Substance" in the Fireplace Room – a film about an ageing television star who is desperate to remain young and admired. The woman refuses to accept the passage of time, intending to stave it off by taking an illegal drug. Now she divides her life between two versions of herself – a younger, beautiful one, and an increasingly wrinkled one. But can this be reconciled without consequences?

Demi Moore, who plays the lead role has received a Golden Globe for her portrayal, and the film itself has won this year's Oscar for Best Makeup and Hairstyling, and was nominated in four categories, including Best Picture and Best Director.

Only those attending the film screening will take part in the night tour of the palace.
