Inauguration and tasks of the Council
During the first meeting, Minister of Labour, Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk underlined the importance of the challenges posed to the labour market by the development of new technologies, including artificial intelligence. She also pointed to the need to respond responsibly to changes and support those who may experience difficulties resulting from market transformation.
The Council members received their appointment letters for the 2025–2029 term. The Council's role in the context of the new Labour Market and Employment Services Act and the Public Employment Services Development Plan was also presented. The Council's main responsibilities will include issuing opinions, formulating suggestions and submitting proposals for legislative changes in the labour market.

The presence of Prof. Łukasz Arendt's on the Labour Market Council confirms the recognition of his scientific and expert achievements in the field of labour economics. As a member of the Committee on Labour and Social Policy Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences, Prof. Arendt has been involved in research and analysis concerning the operation of the labour market in Poland and Europe for years.
