The meeting will be attended by Prof. Agnieszka Świątecka-Urban from the University of Virginia and Prof. Łukasz Joachimiak from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
The BioLAB Programme offers MA and doctoral students in biological, chemical and medical sciences an opportunity to complete a research traineeship at a laboratory located at one of four institutions in the USA:
- University of Virginia, Charlottesville, VA, USA
- University of Chicago, Chicago, IL, USA
- University of Texas: Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX, USA
- Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Oklahoma City, OK, USA
During the traineeship, students, under the supervision of renowned specialists, conduct independent research in modern laboratories, and their results are often published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. They also actively participate in the life of the American university, attending seminars and guest lectures, and immersing themselves in American culture. In some cases, they also have an opportunity to use their research results for their master's or doctoral dissertation at their home university. During their stay, they receive a stipend funded by the American side.
The meeting is open to all interested parties. Registration is not required but is recommended for those who wish to receive information materials by e-mail. Advance registration will also help us prepare for the meeting. Registration form: https://forms.gle/V7UJRJDCD3xJv5Pp7
