This is a direct continuation of the Polish Large Language Model (PLLuM) project, which also involved researchers from the University of Lodz. It envisages the development of the solutions and resources developed within the project, followed by their implementation in the mObywatel application, the creation of a clerical assistant for the Ministry of Digital Affairs, and a test, pilot implementation of the models in a selected city hall or voivodeship office.
The main operational goal of HIVE AI is to adapt language models to the needs of public administration. Therefore, new linguistic datasets will be collected, and the PLLuM family will be expanded with new models adapted to various linguistic tasks, with a particular emphasis on administrative topics. This task will be carried out in close cooperation with the public institutions where the pilot will be conducted. It will also support and automate their work.
The operational manager of the project, which will run until the end of 2025, is dr hab. Piotr Pęzik, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz, Head of the Department of Corpus and Computational Linguistics at the University of Lodz, an author of over a hundred scientific papers and IT solutions in the field of corpus and computational linguistics.
