By studying at the University of Lodz, they will enrich the multiculturalism of our society. More than 1400 newly admitted international students

In the academic year 2025/2026, a total of 1,411 new students from all over the world started their studies at the University of Lodz under exchange programmes and full-time studies.

Exchange programmes

A total of 771 international candidates have been accepted for full-time studies at the University of Lodz. Of this group, 168 began their studies in English, while 603 began their studies in Polish. They come primarily from Ukraine, Belarus, Turkey, Spain and Azerbaijan. Computer Science taught in English, Logistics, and Marketing  are the most popular study programmes chosen by this group.

The large, diverse community of the University of Lodz

Guided by the idea of community and social sensitivity, we at #HumanUniversity strive to create a community that, in its diversity, brings unity and strength. We want international students to become an integral part of it. Therefore, we have once again launched the Welcome Point with them in mind. This year, it was open from 22 September to 5 October.

The Welcome Point zone was traditionally located at the University of Lodz Library. Experienced students and alumni mentored the newly admitted international students, answering questions about life at the University of Lodz, and navigating the university and Lodz. Students could take advantage of the cozy zone, which offered a space for socialising with board games, free Wi-Fi, and a co-working space where they could meet others.

Additionally, welcome and information meetings for all international students starting their studies at UniLodz were held in Assembly Hall A1 at the Faculty of Philology on 1 and 4 October of the current year. During these meetings representatives of the University of Lodz provided them with the most important tips on studying and everyday life in our city.

A team-building barbecue at the Training and Conference Centre on Rogowska Street was the final event. Staff from the International Centre and the Admissions Centre, along with University of Lodz mentors and students who supported new students in their first steps at the university, planned a series of outdoor games and activities for several hundred international students.
