Check the MA degree programmes offered at the University of Lodz.
Create an account in the IRK platform using an email that you have the access to.
Check the list of required documents that are also listed below.
Pay the application fee (85 PLN) for the programme that you are interested in.
Important: the 85 PLN fee applies per study programme. If you decide to apply for more than one programme, you’ll need to pay an additional application fee for each extra programme you choose.
Upload all the required documents in the IRK platform that were mentioned previously in STEP 3.
Take part in the interview and entrance exam (only for Faculty of Management candidates!)
Important: Those candidates who applied for Business Management OR Business and Digital Analytics shall be enrolled on the basis of a written assignment on the indicated topic and an interview in English.
If you do not fall into this category, please ignore this step.
Check the results of your admission by frequently checking the IRK platform.
If your status in the IRK platform is going to be marked as ‘Admitted’, you can now pay the tuition fee for your studies. If you are going to need an invoice for the bank, please send a message in the IRK platform.
After paying for your studies, attach the proof of payment in the IRK platform.
To officially enrol, submit the original documents via post or personal delivery. Without completing it before the deadline specified in the schedule, you will NOT be accepted for studies.
Make sure that the proof of payment is attached in the IRK platform. Without attaching the proof of payment you will not receive the Acceptance Letter.
Remember: Please be patient, because the payment for studies doesn’t show up immediately in the UniLodz bank account (especially if it is an international transfer). Only after receiving your proof of payment in the IRK platform and seeing the payment in the bank system will we prepare your Acceptance Letter.
After receiving your Acceptance Letter book an appointment with the Polish Embassy, regarding your visa.
Important: As a university, we cannot assist in booking the appointments. Each candidate is responsible for booking their own appointment and arranging all the necessary documentation required for visa purposes.
After successfully obtaining a visa, leave a message in the IRK platform and inform us when you are going to arrive.
Important: Academic year starts on October 1st, and students are required to be physically present from day one—no late arrivals allowed.
Once you arrive, visit the Admission Centre and deliver for inspection: your passport with visa and valid insurance.
To obtain your student ID card and class schedule, contact your faculty dean’s office.

It’s time to upload your documents! But where should you start? Below, you’ll find a list of the documents that need to be uploaded in the IRK system:
Without proof of obtaining BA degree diploma University of Lodz cannot admit you.
Important: If the copy of the BA degree diploma has been issued in a language other than Polish or English it has to be enclosed with a scanned copy of its certified translation into Polish or English.
All foreign qualification certificated (issued outside Poland – except IB and EB) must be authenticated with an apostille or legalized to be valid in Poland.
If issued in a country that is a party to the Hague Convention (1961), obtain an apostille from the designated authority. The list of countries and institutions responsible in each country for issuing apostille may be found here. (e.g., Ministry of Education in Kyiv for Ukraine).
If the country is not a party, documents must be legalized by the relevant authority (usually Ministry of Foreign Affairs or Education) and then by a Polish consulate.
The apostille must be obtained on the hard copy of the document. The apostille on the notary-certified copy is unacceptable.
Make sure to attach the Transcript of Records with list of grades, because University of Lodz will calculate points based on your Transcript.
Important: If the Transcript of Records has been issued in a language other than Polish or English it has to be enclosed with its certified translation into Polish or English.
Additionally, Transcript of Records must be authenticated with an apostille or legalized to be valid in Poland.
The apostille must be obtained on the hard copy of the document. The apostille on the notary-certified copy is unacceptable.
You can apply for this recognition through the SYRENA system.
Important: Please apply for recognition as soon as possible because it might take up to 60 days to receive a recognition, which is why we highly encourage you to apply well in advance.
Additionally, this obligation does not apply to candidates whose school certificate/diploma can be recognized as equivalent to the corresponding Polish certificate based on an international agreement (EU, EEA, OECD countries, Ukraine, China - in terms of certificates.
To apply for study programmes in English as a candidate you are required to attach an English Language Certificate document which will confirm that your English language is at proficiency at a level no lower than B2.

The Application Form is possible to download as a PDF, when your application has got a ‘Admitted/Qualified’ status. To download this document, make sure that all the information in the Personal Forms section is provided correctly and the photograph is accepted.
A photo with a minimum resolution of 500x625 pixels and a maximum size of 5 MB should be taken: face (in front), without a hat, on a light background (following the requirements for issuing Polish ID cards).
Please be aware that the photo that you submit in the IRK platform will be used for the student ID.
IMPORTANT: When you are going to download the Application Form in the PDF format, the photo that you submitted will not be visible. Which is why you have to remember to have a printed photo your for printed Application Form. The printed photo will have to be attached to the printed Application Form. Make sure that the printed photo is the exact same photo that you uploaded in the IRK platform.
