PhD student at the Doctoral School of Humanities at the University of Lodz.
I graduated in Classical Philology with Mediterranean Culture and in History at the University of Łódź in 2025. My master’s thesis, entitled Aulus Gellius, „Attic Nights”, Book VII – Translation and Commentary, was written under the supervision of professor Joanna Sowa at the Department of Classical Philology. My master’s thesis, entitled Religion of Ancient Rome in the Light of Aulus Gellius’ „Attic Nights” – Selected Issues, was prepared under the supervision of professor Sławomir Bralewski at the Department of Byzantine History. I am currently a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Humanities at the University of Łódź.
My research interests focus on Latin literature, particularly the Imperial period, as well as early Christian literature and the Latin language. I am currently preparing a doctoral dissertation on the works of Quodvultdeus, patriarch of Carthage in the 5th century AD. I am working on a Polish translation of selected sermons by this author. I also study the impact of the Vandal conquest of North Africa on the character, language, and content of Quodvultdeus’ sermons, with particular emphasis on works directed against pagans, Jews, and heretics.
