About us
The Doctoral School of Humanities at the University of Lodz makes it possible to obtain doctoral degrees in seven disciplines:
archaeology
history
philosophy
linguistics
literary studies
cultural and religious sciences
sciences of art
ethnology and cultural anthropology
At the same time, the training program allows you to carry out research in your chosen discipline of the humanities under conditions of individual and team interdisciplinarity.
In the course of training in the Doctoral School of Humanities, which lasts 4 years (8 semesters), you will deepen your knowledge of your chosen scientific discipline in an interdisciplinary environment, allowing you to place your competence related to the discipline in a broader context, develop your research and teaching skills, and acquire soft skills that can be used in the future both in academic work and in professional activities of a non-academic nature.
Upon completion of the Doctoral School in the Humanities and defense of the dissertation, the graduate will receive a doctoral degree in the humanities in one of the seven disciplines mentioned above.
