Undersecretary of State

He is a graduate of the University of Lodz – in 2001 he received a master's degree in international relations. In 2005, he received a PhD in political science (from the University of Warsaw). In addition, in 2001 he graduated in Sociology and Social Policy from the prestigious Roehampton Institute at the University of Surrey in London.

He is an author of numerous research and journal publications (e.g. in Tygodnik Powszechny) in the field of European integration, social policy and migration; his books include the monograph "Ewolucja szwedzkiego i brytyjskiego modelu polityki społecznej w latach 1993-2003" [Evolution of the Swedish and British model of social policy in 1993-2003], and the report "5 lat członkostwa Polski w Unii Europejskiej" [5 years of Poland's membership in the European Union], of which he is an editor and co-author.

He is professionally involved with a number of institutions in the field of diplomacy and international politics; he is a Member of the Programme Council of the Polish Institute of International Relations, a Member of the Council of the Centre for Eastern Studies, a Member of the Research Council of the Central and Eastern Europe Institute and a Member of the Research Council of the Western Institute. 

He was a full-time employee of the Office of the Committee for European Integration and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where he became a Director of the Strategy and Planning Department. From September 2014 to January 2016, he served as an Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary at the Permanent Representation of the Republic of Poland to the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) in Paris.
