Joanna Skrzydlewska

Deputy Mayor of the City of Łódź

She graduated from the Faculty of Management of the University of Lodz (majoring in human resources management). 

Since 2003 she has worked at the Łódź City Hall as a deputy director in the Promotion, Entrepreneurship and Workplace Development Office and a deputy director in the Promotion, Tourism and International Cooperation Office. She assumed the function of honorary president of the Orzeł Łódź speedway club. 

Between 2005 and 2009, she was a Member of the Sejm of the 5th and 6th term, and from 2009 she was a Member of the European Parliament of the 7th term. In both cases as a representative of Civic Platform. 

In 2014, she was given a mandate as a councillor of the Łódź Assembly and was appointed to the Voivodeship Board. She held this position until the end of the 6th term. 

In 2018, she returned to work at the Łódź City Hall, taking up the position of Director of the Office for Redevelopment. 

In November 2019, she was appointed a Deputy Mayor of the City of Łódź.
