The results of the conducted research show that:
- the preparation method matters,
- the time and temperature of extraction actually influence the amount of phytochemicals obtained,
- "home" methods can be effective – if chosen carefully.
To present the research and its conclusions, we have prepared a series of three popular science podcasts in which we:
- talk about the project results,
- explain the differences between extraction methods,
- show how science meets everyday practice.
First, we are presenting information about the digestive system – this is the subject of the first episode of the podcast. Subsequent publications will feature information about the respiratory and nervous systems.
We encourage you to listen to the podcast: Zdrowie zaklęte w roślinach - Moc ziół - Układ pokarmowy [Health Enchanted by Plants – The Power of Herbs –Digestive System]
The podcasts have been prepared by the project manager – dr hab. Katarzyna Szafrańska, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz, based on chapters of a scientific monograph prepared by the project participants, presenting the results of research conducted as part of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education project “Science for Society II”.
The materials have been developed in a popular science format, using tools based on artificial intelligence (AI), to increase the accessibility of the content to a wide audience.
