The organisation that introduces the voice of Polish coaches to the project is Międzynarodowe Stowarzyszenie na Rzecz Promocji Zdrowia ADHD Paintball Team, Poligon Zona (https://www.facebook.com/p/ADHD-Paintball-100057253428734/?locale=pl_PL) represented by Jakub Andrzejak.
The aim of the project is to improve coaching methods so that they more effectively address the problem of value polarisation in sport and – apart from developing skills required in a specific sport discipline – focus on orienting youth development towards positive values, including values important from the point of view of local communities and society.
WHAT DO WE WANT TO ACHIEVE?
We want to:
- achieve a deeper understanding of the challenges related to changes in the sphere of values that are faced by sports organisations,
- improve the forms of support for young athletes in their development, modelled on the “Future Coaching” method, which during the FAITH project will not only be used to educate coaches in partner countries, but also optimised and adapted to local contexts, which is what our research is intended to serve.
WHAT ACTIVITIES WILL WE CARRY OUT?
- We will conduct research aimed at gaining a deeper understanding of the challenges and needs faced by sports organisations – focus group interviews with coaches and surveys among young people (17+)
- As part of the FAITH project, in cooperation with experienced trainers and young people, national and international workshops inspired by the "Future Coaching" method and the results of analyses of empirical materials collected in the research part of our project will be organised.
