The project team intends to investigate - using a combination of quantitative methods (using Digital Humanities tools) and qualitative methods - how the Orthodox Slavic language interacted with particular Slavic dialects and languages, recorded in old Cyrillic prints and manuscripts dating from the fifteenth to the eighteenth century, i.e., from the period when modern Orthodox Slavic languages began to take shape.

BEETHOVEN CLASSIC 4 is a follow-up to the BEETHOVEN 3 competition based on a substantive assessment of funding proposals for Polish-German research projects performed jointly by Expert Teams selected by NCN and DFG as well as by external experts. This means that partner agencies will together perform substantive assessment and selection of projects recommended for funding. The competition is open to applications for research projects in Humanities, Social Sciences and Arts.
