On June 1, 2025, the application for places in the University of Lodz Student Dormitories will be launched, it will be possible to submit an electronic application for a dormitory for the academic year 2025/2026.
The basis for applying for a dormitory is to log in to your account in USOSweb.
Who can apply for a student dormitory, hereinafter referred to as DS
Persons studying and pursuing a PhD at the University of Lodz with Polish and foreign citizenship, continuing their studies at the University of Lodz in the academic year 2025/2026 and having access to the USOSweb IT system:
- currently living in a dormitory in the current academic year, – when applying for a dormitory, please indicate the reservation in the special conditions,
- applying for a place in a dormitory for the first time, not living in a dormitory,
- currently living in a dormitory in the current academic year and applying for a change of place – when applying for a DS, the change of DS should be indicated in the special conditions.
Persons studying or doctoral students at the University of Lodz, taking part in various exchange programmes during the academic year, apply for a DS only after returning from abroad.
Applications are considered by the University Committee for Allocating Places on the Established Dates, Within the Vacancies (in accordance with the Regulations for Allocating and Using Places in the University of Lodz Student Dormitory)
In the application, you should enter the DS numbers from the most preferred to the least. This will allow for more effective allocation of a place in the dormitory, in the absence of places from the first choice.
Deadline for registration of applications for a place in the dormitory in the first round
01.06.2025 - 10.06.2025
Applying for a dormitory is available in the USOSweb system, log in to your account, select the tab: for all → applications → an application for a dormitory → select the period for which you are applying for a dormitory → fill in and register the application
Remark! We do not require you to provide a paper version of the registered application.
Only applications that are complete and correctly registered in the USOSweb system (application ready for consideration) will be considered.
Verification and issuance of a decision on the reservation of a place in the dormitory takes place on the basis of registered applications in the 1st round, which have been accepted for consideration by the University Committee for granting places in the dormitory of the University of Lodz will take place by 18.06.2025.
Information about the allocated place will be visible after logging in to the USOSweb system in the tab: applications → applications for a dormitory→ application processed → see application details.
Maintaining a seat reservation in a dormitory is valid provided that:
- confirmation of the intention to stay in the dormitory via the USOSweb system on the person's individual account by 6 July this year,
- accommodation by October 5 this year.
Lack of confirmation and failure to check in by 5 October this year results in the loss of the allocated place in the Dormitory.
The fee for accommodation in the dormitory is paid by the 26th of each month to his/her individual bank account number assigned in the USOSweb system.
Resignation from the allocated place
In the event of resignation from the allocated place, the reception desk of the allocated SD should be immediately informed by e-mail or phone.
Applying for a room for a parent with a child, a single room
Persons applying for a room for a parent with a child - Appendix No. 6 or a single room - Appendix No. 7 attach the document as a supplement to the application for a DS registered in the USOSweb system.
The University Commission for Allocating Places in the Dormitory will consider the applications by the end of September (after the 4th round is closed), and information in this regard will be provided directly to the Dormitory administration after the applications have been considered.
