UniLodz Student Honoured in the GPW President's Award Competition. Igor Sojda Takes Second Place in the BA Theses Category

Igor Sojda's BA thesis "Błąd odwzorowania instrumentów typu ETC z ekspozycją na cenę złota na europejskim rynku finansowym" [Error in the mapping of ETC-type instruments with exposure to the gold price on the European financial market] has been distinguished out of 47 BA theses from 13 universities in Poland in the Competition for the Award of the President of the Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange!

Igor Sojda's award-winning BA thesis concerns ETC – Exchange Traded Commodities and the extent to which instruments of this type faithfully reflect changes in gold prices and the possible origins of differences between ETC and the actual gold price quoted on European markets.

Competition for the GPW President's Award

The competition, organised by the GPW Foundation in cooperation with the Warsaw Stock Exchange, aims to recognise the best academic works on the operation of the capital market, as well as to support the development of economic and financial competences among the young generation.

The awards, diplomas and gifts were presented in the Quotation Hall of the Warsaw Stock Exchange during the Competition Gala, attended by members of the Competition Jury, representatives of the Warsaw Stock Exchange and the Warsaw Stock Exchange Foundation, initiative partners and the supervisors of the winning projects. The total prize pool in the twelfth edition of the competition exceeded PLN 30,000.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations to both Igor Sojda, the author of the work, and dr hab. Tomasz Miziołek, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz, the supervisor of the winning project!
