ANTI-DISCRIMINATION, ANTI-MOBBING AND OTHER UNDESIRABLE BEHAVIOURS COORDINATOR
- The Anti-Discrimination, Anti-Mobbing and Other Undesirable Behaviours Coordinator operates within the structures of the University of Lodz Support and Accessibility Centre.
- The main task of the Coordinator is to implement the policy of combating undesirable phenomena at the university.
- The Coordinator accepts notifications of behaviours that may bear the hallmarks of discrimination, mobbing or other undesirable behaviours, including sexual harassment from the academic community.
- The Coordinator, within 14 days of receiving such a notification, assesses it and conducts an initial interview with the notifying person so as to better understand the problem, provide support or consultation.
- The Coordinator, in order to resolve the problem, may propose mediation between the parties or refer the case for further proceedings to the competent bodies, i.e. the Commission for Combating Discrimination and Other Undesirable Behaviours or the Anti-Mobbing Commission.
- The Coordinator's activities also include education and building awareness of equal treatment in the workplace; conducting an educational and information campaign on combating discrimination and mobbing. The campaign consists in educating the academic community about what these phenomena are, how to recognise them and what to do if you experience them, where to report them and what the corrective procedure looks like.
- The Coordinator cooperates with other entities, in particular, with the Ombudsman for Academic Rights, trade unions, the University of Lodz Students' Government Council and the University of Lodz Doctoral Students’ Government Council.
- The Coordinator reports once a year to the Rector of the University of Lodz on their activities and on the activities of both Commissions.
The University of Lodz Anti-Discrimination, Anti-Mobbing and Other Undesirable Behaviours Coordinator can be approached in person, by e-mail or by phone. An appointment must be made in advance by e-mail or telephone.
