Teaching responsibilities: Lecturer and course coordinator in the Microbiology and Biotechnology programs, delivering courses such as Fundamentals of Genetics for Biotechnologists, General Genetics, Molecular Biology, Microbial Genetics, Seminars for Second-Cycle (Master’s) Students, and specialized laboratory classes. Supervisor of Bachelor's and Master's theses.

Research activities: Research focused on human pathogenic fungi (dermatophytes) at the transcriptomic, proteomic, and metabolomic levels. Principal Investigator of research projects funded by the National Science Centre (NCN).

Organizational duties: Responsible for administrative and financial management of research grants and departmental funds (including invoice processing). Coordination of teaching schedules within the Department.


BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE

I am a molecular microbiologist with 20 years of experience and a pioneer in the field of molecular biology of dermatophytes in Poland. My research has significantly expanded the understanding of these pathogenic fungi, which cause widespread infections in humans and animals. Leading interdisciplinary projects funded by SONATA and OPUS grants from the National Science Centre (NCN), I have directed studies that integrate advanced molecular techniques with functional genomics to address pressing challenges in medical and environmental microbiology. By combining innovative research with practical applications, I strive to tackle global challenges in health and sustainable development, establishing my work as a significant contribution to the field of mycology. I advance the discipline of microbiology, train young researchers, and promote innovation.
