I graduated from the University of Lodz in 1990. I obtained my PhD in economics in management sciences in 1999. I currently work as an assistant professor in the Department of City and Regional Management, Faculty of Management, University of Lodz. During my time at the University of Lodz, I developed my knowledge and skills by participating in numerous international research internships and national and international academic conferences. Training in modern teaching methods, including distance learning and management in a multicultural environment, helped me develop my teaching skills.
In addition to teaching, I hold a number of organizational roles. I am currently the head of the City Management program (undergraduate studies) and the Public Administration Management program (secondary studies) at the Faculty of Management, University of Lodz. In 2007, I received the Rector's Award from the University of Lodz for my participation in the team developing the new Integrated Company Management curriculum. I have also been a member of the Faculty of Management Council for many years. In the field of international cooperation, I have served as the University of Lodz representative to the Association of European Schools of Planning (AESOP) since 2008, and since 2013, I have been a member of the OECD Observatory of Public Sector Innovation Associate Group.
In addition to my teaching and organizational experience, I also have experience collaborating with businesses and non-governmental organizations, primarily in conducting training courses and workshops on developing competencies for public administration employees and in the methodology of building local development strategies. I have also participated in numerous research and implementation projects co-financed by the European Union and national research programs.
My research interests include local and regional development policy and governance in territorial units. I specialize in public management, with particular emphasis on innovation in the public sector. Within public management, my interests focus on contemporary management concepts in public administration, conflict management, crisis management, and security management.
