As the department head, I:

- represent the department externally;

- support the development of research projects;

- support research within the disciplines covered by the department;

- organize and supervise the teaching activities of the department;

- submit proposals to the faculty council or the dean, including proposals regarding employment, other employee matters, and awards for department employees;

- manage the department's assets and allocated funds, subject to separate regulations;

- submit annual reports on the department's activities to the dean.
